Assessing Care and Health Outcomes among RWHAP Clients Who Do Not Receive Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Funded Outpatient Ambulatory Health Services (OAHS)
Client: HIV/AIDS Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA HAB)
Mission Analytics Group, as a subcontractor to Mathematica Policy Research, worked with the HIV/AIDS Bureau and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA HAB) to assess the utilization of HIV care for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) clients who do not receive outpatient ambulatory health services (OAHS). In 2016, over one-third of people living with HIV and receiving services from RWHAP did not receive RWHAP-funded OAHS. This project therefore aimed to identify if and where these clients were receiving HIV care services, as well as the unmet needs among RWHAP clients who did not receive RWHAP-funded OAHS. This project collected clinical data for these clients so HRSA HAB can estimate and improve the rates of retention in care and viral suppression for all RWHAP clients, including those not receiving RWHAP OAHS.
