Host Home Stakeholder Engagement
Client: The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF)
More than 3,000 individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) reside in “host homes,” which are managed by program approved service agencies (PASAs) to provide individual residential services and supports. Mission is working with Colorado HCPF to engage in a stakeholder process that will address the safety of host homes and the delivery of these services and supports. Mission will assist Colorado HCPF by conducting an environmental scan of oversight regulations for similar home settings in other states, a qualitative review of inspection findings of PASAs at recertification, and focus groups and interviews with various stakeholders (e.g., individuals and their families, host home providers, case management). Mission will then develop plain language materials such as an infographic document and will provide a summary report of the team’s recommendations based on this stakeholder engagement process.
